If you are aged 18-25 and either an existing leader/helper or perhaps a former member of The Scout Association or Girlguiding then the Scout Network is your natural “home” within the wider Scouting Family.
As an existing leader/helper within Scouting in this age group, The Scout Association now already grants you automatic membership of the Scout Network. This is a recent change aimed at giving former Explorer Scouts and new “young adults” an opportunity to gain their Queen’s Scout Award, or to work for a Duke of Edinburgh Award – something you may have regretted not completing, or perhaps a challenge which you might, even now, like to embark upon.
If you don’t have a Scouting or Girlguiding background don’t panic. You too can join Network and strive for your DofE or Queen’s Scout Award – or simply enjoy the opportunity of networking with others who enjoy Scouting and all it has to offer! (University Students often find this a useful way to retain a connection with Scouting whilst studying for their degree).
