There are many ways in which adults can volunteer in Scouting.
If you feel you may be able to help, in any capacity, then please visit Get Involved or contact the District Commissioner, Simon Clark, who will be able to provide advice and connect you with your local Group, Explorer Scout Unit or discuss options where you may be able to help on a broader basis (for example, at a District Level).
We currently have adult vacancies for the following volunteer roles:
District Secretary: We are seeking an adult volunteer with experience of Microsoft Office and with good communication skills to become the Secretary to the Trustees and to assist in general District administration, including help with coordinating the annual membership census. The Trustees meet bi-monthly. The role also includes being the prime initial contact for community liaison.

The person appointmet will be a member of the senior management team within SW Notts District and will be supported by the Deputy District Commissioner, the section Assistant District Commissioners and the County Youth Commissioner
Beaver Section Leaders/Helpers: We are seeking adult volunteers to help with Beaver Colonies at the 1st Toton (St Peter’s) Scout Group and at 1st Trowell Scout Group. Beavers Scouts are 6 and 7 year olds who are starting out on their Scouting journey and they like having fun whilst, at the same time, learning new skills and tackling exciting challenges . If you think you can help out then we would be delighted to hear from you.
