Time to Celebrate as 2 become 1

At the start of the new year, it was great to hear that 1st Stapleford and Trowell were merging to form one larger group. A few weeks ago, to celebrate this, a large fun-day was held at the Scout Hall consisting of a huge array of activities and food based challenges.

Everyone was presented with there new neckerchief and there were a few presentations and speeches but then the fun could really begin!! Everyone had a fantastic time but don’t just take my word for it – there’s plenty of pictures below.

1st Stapleford Scout Group was established 100 years ago and 1st Trowell were established some 30 years ago and as a result have a long history of Scouting in the area.

Group Scout Leaders Charlotte and Jeremy have worked hard to ensure that the amalgamation is a success for all.  All sections will now meet at the Scout Hall on Pinfold Lane Stapleford and look forward to many future years of scouting success
