COVID-19 Update (30th December 2020): Following today's government announcement placing Nottinghamshire into tier 4 all face-to-face Scouting is now suspended in line with National Youth Agency and Scout Association advice. Our groups and units will communicate any plans for online Scouting over the coming days. If you require any support on running online scouting, please get in touch.

Trent Side SASU

sasuThe District benefits from the support given by “Trent Side” Scout Active Support Unit (SASU)

Scout Active Support Units allow people to give their time to Scouting on a flexible basis. People can join the SASU in the knowledge that they can contribute towards the Scouting cause without having to give the full-time commitment of becoming a leader. But leaders can join too!

Our SASU (Trent Side SASU) holds various highly successful and enjoyable social events throughout the year. Proceeds from these events are used to provide funding to help support District events. They help us at our Annual General Meeting, at our St George’s Day celebrations and other special occasions.

By undertaking this vital role our SASU provides a valuable resource within the District for Managers of local Scouting including Group Scout Leaders, the District Commissioner and the District Team who can use seek the support of our SASU members as and when necessary.
